Cincon Releases CQB100W14 Series, New 100 W Quarter Brick Size 14:1 Ultra-wide Input Range DC-DC Converter
The CQB100W14 series is our new 14:1 ultra-wide input DC-DC converter that provides 100W of regulated power in the industrial standard quarter brick size of 2.28 x 1.45 inches (57.9 x 36.8 mm). It has safety approvals for IEC/UL 62368-1 and 3000Vac isolation (input to output).
It is available in single outputs of 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, and 54 VDC. The remote on/off function is also provided. In addition, this series is compliant to EN 50155 with external circuits, Shock & Vibration EN61673 and Fire & smoke EN 45545-2 for railway applications.
Moreover, this series provides the optional model with Bus pin & external UVLO adjustment functions. The BUS pin feature could offer the convenience for the system designer to keep or increase the holdup time and it also lowers inrush current, reduces the size of capacitor and saves the space in the end user devices for the system designers. The external UVLO allows the system designer to adjust the desired point of under voltage lockout within the spec listed on the application note.
The CQB100W14 offers the ultra-wide input voltage range from 12~160 VDC which covers common distributed voltages in railway power system. Moreover, it has the outstanding high efficiency up to 90%, and the wide operating case temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. This DC-DC converter can be used at a high altitude up to 5000m max., and the MTBF would be up to 850k hours.
Safety approvals include IEC/UL 62368-1, and EN 50155 (with external circuits), and EN 45545-2 requirements for the essential railway market needs. In addition, this series could pass the requirements of interruptions of voltage supply Class S3 and the voltage change-over class C2. The CQB100W14 series is fully protected by the input UVLO (under voltage lock out), output over-current/voltage, and continuous short circuit protection.
This DC-DC power supply is very suitable for a variety of railway applications such as signal system, TCMS system, communication system, and broadcasting system. In addition, it is also suitable for industrial/ITE applications such as automation equipment, test & measurement instrument, commercial equipment, and more industrial applications.
