Cincon Releases CQB75W14 Series, New 75W Quarter Brick Size 14:1 Ultra-wide Input Range DC-DC Converter

Our brand new CQB75W14 series, a 14:1 ultra-wide input DC-DC converter, delivers 75W of regulated output power in a standard quarter brick size of 2.28 x 1.45 inches (57.8 x 36.8 mm). This series has safety approvals for IEC/UL 62368-1 and 3000Vac isolation (input to output).


This series is offered in single outputs of 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, and 54 VDC, with the added benefit of the trim function which could trim 54 VDC down to 48 VDC and the remote on/off function. It is compliant with EN 50155 (with external circuits), Shock & Vibration EN61673, and Fire & smoke EN 45545-2 for railway applications.


The optional model with Bus pin & external UVLO adjustment functions is also available. The BUS pin feature offers convenience for system designers by allowing them to increase or keep the holdup time, reduce the inrush current, capacitor size which saves the space of end devices. The external UVLO enables system designers to adjust the desired point of under voltage lockout within the specification listed on the application note.


Exceptional Performance:

The CQB75W14 offers the ultra-wide input voltage range from 12~160 VDC which covers common distributed voltages in railway power system. Moreover, it has the outstanding high efficiency up to 91%, and the wide operating case temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. This series could be used at a high altitude up to 5000m max. and has the MTBF up to 850k hours.


Full Protections:

The CQB75W14 series is fully protected by input UVLO, output over-current/voltage, and continuous short circuit protection. It has safety approvals such as IEC/UL 62368-1, EN 50155 (with external circuits), and EN 45545-2, fulfilling the essential railway market needs. Additionally, it can pass the requirements of interruptions of voltage supply Class S3 and the voltage change-over class C2.



This DC-DC converter is suitable for various railway applications such as signal system, TCMS system, communication system, and broadcasting system.
